Installation “Untitled (Forest)” was commissioned by curator Peeter Talvistu and shown in the exhibition “Exodus to verdure. Tartu 1860–2014” (“Väljasõit rohelisse. Tartu 1860–2014“) at Tallinn Art Hall. The contemporary art exhibition gave a selective overview of artistic practices that were in some way related to the Baltic German university town Tartu and art school Pallas.
The starting point for the installation was a found black and white photograph from 1900 depicting men and women slowly de-barking tree trunks.
