Road to Silver Mine

Gallery Chemin du Bonheur, Hokuto, Yamanashi, Japan
May 17 – 23, 2015

“Road to Silver Mine” was Põld’s first exhibition in Japan, consisting of short stories written during her residency in Kofu and travels in Japan, drawings, paintings, objects and a video projection. The title refers to the farthest distance she traveled from Kofu – to the Iwami Ginzan silver mine. Chemin du Bonheur is a small gallery and a cafe surrounded by rice fields and mountains and run by artist and photographer Ikumo Motosugi.
