Laura Põld’s solo exhibition at Tallinn Art Hall Gallery dealt with Estonian semi-rural landscape and was strongly autobiographical: the change of living environment and social conditions after moving from outskirts of Estonian capital to contrastingly privatised Austria formed the main context for the exhibition.
The installations were based on environments that can be found close to cities, and that are very common in Estonia and other post-Soviet states – abandoned landscapes with their freedoms, dangers, open ends.
